Terms of Service
This document is available in Polish and English. For consumers in Poland the Polish version is binding; this English version is a translation.
These terms explain how VetDue works, what you can do with it, what the Plus plan costs and what to do when something goes wrong. We have tried to write them in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us.
1. Who runs VetDue
VetDue is a digital health book for dogs and cats: an app for Android and iOS and the website vetdue.com (together, the “Service”). The Service is run by:
TheClassyCode Maksymilian Wojcik
Swarożyca 15A/6, 71-601 Szczecin, Poland
Tax id (NIP): 8513134827
E-mail: maksymilian.wojcik@gmail.com
In these terms “we” means us and “you” means you. E-mail is the quickest way to reach us. The same address is the point of contact for users and for the authorities of EU countries under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065); you can write in Polish or English.
These terms are the rules for providing services by electronic means under the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means. We make them available free of charge before you create an account. You can save or print them from your browser.
2. A few terms
- Account - your account in the Service, tied to your e-mail address.
- Household - a shared health book you can keep alone or with other people (such as family). Every household has at least one owner.
- Plus - the paid plan that extends the Service (section 8).
- Consumer - a natural person who makes a contract with us that is not directly related to their business or profession. We also apply the consumer provisions to a sole trader for whom the contract is not of a professional nature (Article 3855 of the Polish Civil Code).
3. What we offer
With the Service you can:
- create an account and use it on your phone and in a browser, with your data synced;
- keep your animals’ health book: the animal’s details, vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick protection, visits, procedures, weight, notes and photos;
- see the schedule of upcoming treatments and get reminders (notifications on your phone and, if the feature is available and you turn it on, e-mail);
- keep a household together with other people by inviting them with a code;
- save an animal’s health book as a PDF file;
- buy Plus, or try it free for 7 days (section 8);
- if you turn on “News and tips” on the Account screen, receive occasional notifications with news about VetDue.
The free plan has these limits:
- a household without Plus can track 1 animal at a time (animals whose tracking you pause do not count);
- you can create 1 household of your own;
- anyone, with or without Plus, can belong to at most 2 households - this stops one Plus plan being shared across many unrelated households;
- photos are not stored on our server (they stay only on your device), and links for a vet cannot be created.
We provide the free services for an indefinite period. We can change the free plan and its limits only by changing these terms (section 14).
4. What you need
- an e-mail address you can access, and an internet connection;
- for the app: a phone with Android 8.0 or later, or an iPhone with iOS 15 or later; push notifications need Google Play services on Android and, on any phone, your permission for notifications;
- for the website: a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with JavaScript and site storage (localStorage) enabled.
Using the internet comes with the usual risks, such as phishing, malware or someone taking over your mailbox. VetDue uses no passwords: you sign in with a link sent by e-mail or with your Google or Apple account. So keep your mailbox and phone secure, never pass sign-in links to anyone, and open them only when you asked for one. We will never ask you for a sign-in code or link.
5. Your account and the contract
- The contract for using the Service is made when you sign in for the first time (with an e-mail link, Google or Apple), which creates your account. By signing in you accept these terms.
- The Service is meant for people aged 16 or over. A minor may buy Plus only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Your account is personal. Do not share it; invite people into your household instead.
6. Rules of use
- You must not provide unlawful content, or content that infringes other people’s rights (such as someone else’s photos without consent, or other people’s personal data without a legal basis).
- You must not disrupt the Service: attack it, get around its security or limits, overload it with automated requests, or introduce malware.
- What you enter is yours. You allow us to store, process and show it only as far as needed to provide the Service: to you, to the members of your household and to the people you send a link to.
- Household members can see and change the household’s data. An owner can remove a member, and anyone can leave a household.
- A link for a vet opens an animal’s health book without signing in, for anyone who has it. Send it only to people you trust; you can revoke it at any time.
- If you find unlawful content in the Service, report it to maksymilian.wojcik@gmail.com, saying where it is and why you think it is unlawful. We will handle the report without undue delay and tell you what we decided. We may remove unlawful content or block access to it; we will tell the person who added it about that decision and the reasons for it.
7. VetDue does not replace a vet
Please read this section carefully.
- VetDue is a tool for keeping records and reminding you. It does not give veterinary advice, diagnose or recommend treatment.
- The schedule and reminders are calculated automatically from publicly available rules (such as the law on compulsory rabies vaccination of dogs in Poland and general guidelines) and from the data you and your household members enter. The rules may be incomplete, simplified or out of date, and the data entered may be wrong or incomplete. The schedule may therefore differ from what your vet recommends.
- A reminder may arrive late or not at all: push and local notifications depend on the phone, its system and settings, battery saving, the internet connection and Google and Apple services that are outside our control.
- You and your vet remain responsible for the animal’s health and care, including the dates of legally required vaccinations. Always follow your vet’s advice and check the dates in the animal’s vaccination book or passport.
8. The Plus plan
What Plus gives you
- up to 10 tracked animals in every household that has Plus (without Plus: 1);
- links for a vet: creating links that open an animal’s health book without an account, and keeping them active;
- photo backup on the server (the animal’s portrait and photos of vaccine stickers on records), which also puts the photos into the PDF;
- a second household of your own (without Plus: one).
Everything else - records, the schedule, reminders, sync, inviting people into a household and the PDF export - works without Plus too.
Who Plus is for
Plus belongs to the person who bought it (or got it as a trial), not to a household. A household has Plus as long as at least one of its members has it, and then every member of that household benefits from the higher limits. A second household of your own is available only to a person who has Plus themselves.
When Plus ends
Nothing you have entered is deleted. If a household has more tracked animals than the limit without Plus, the animals over the limit (in the order they were added) are locked: they have no schedule or reminders and no records can be added for them until you pause another animal or Plus returns. Links for a vet stop opening, and new photos are not saved on the server.
Kinds of Plus and prices
- monthly - a subscription that renews every month;
- yearly - a subscription that renews every year;
- forever - a one-time payment with no renewals. Plus then works for as long as your account exists and we run the Service.
You see the price before you buy, in the store (Google Play, App Store) or in the checkout on the website, in your currency. Prices include VAT where it is due. If a store or we offer a promotion or a free period at the start of a subscription, you see its conditions before you buy; when it ends, the subscription renews at the regular price shown at purchase unless you cancel it first.
Where to buy Plus
- Google Play and the App Store - the store takes the payment, on its own terms and with its own payment methods. The store also handles payment and refunds under its own rules (see also Right of withdrawal).
- The website vetdue.com - we sell Plus ourselves. RevenueCat runs the checkout on our behalf, and Stripe processes the card or other payment. You receive a confirmation by e-mail.
Plus bought in one place works on the same account everywhere: in the app on every phone and on the website.
Renewal and cancellation
The monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for another period of the same length, at the price shown at purchase, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; Plus then works until the end of the period you paid for, and no further payment is taken. Cancel where you bought it:
- Google Play: Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → VetDue → Cancel subscription;
- App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → VetDue → Cancel subscription;
- the website vetdue.com: the manage-subscription link in the purchase confirmation e-mail, or a message to us at maksymilian.wojcik@gmail.com - we will cancel it for you.
The Plus screen in the app has a button that opens the store’s subscription page. Deleting your VetDue account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription - cancel it in the store. Cancel a subscription bought on the website before deleting your account; if you forget, write to us and we will stop further payments.
Changes to the subscription price
We may change the subscription price for good reasons: changes in taxes or other public charges, higher costs of running the Service (servers, payments, stores), inflation, or a change in what Plus includes. A new price applies only from the next billing period that starts at least 30 days after we tell you about it (the stores notify you and, where needed, ask for your consent under their own rules). If you do not accept the new price, cancel the subscription before it applies. A price change does not affect Plus forever.
Free trial
You can try Plus free for 7 days. We grant the trial ourselves, without a card or any other payment details. It ends on its own and does not turn into a paid subscription - nothing is charged. The trial can be used once per e-mail address, including after an account is deleted and created again. We may stop offering the trial to new people, but we will not shorten a trial that is already running.
Plus as a gift
We may sometimes grant Plus free of charge (for example to testers). It then works for the time we tell you and involves no payment.
Gift codes
You may also get Plus as a gift code (for example from a vet clinic or from us). A code is free and you redeem it on vetdue.com, signed in to your account. A code can be used once unless we state otherwise next to it, and one account can redeem a given code only once. A code must be redeemed by the date shown next to it; after that it expires. A code has no cash value: it cannot be exchanged for money or refunded. Plus from a code lasts for the time shown with the code (or for life, if we say so), does not renew and involves no payment. If you already have Plus, the time from the code is added after it ends.
9. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a Plus purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. For a purchase on the website we refund the full price, with no deduction for the days you used Plus. The details, the rules for store purchases and the model form are on the Right of withdrawal page.
10. Liability
- We work to keep the Service running without interruption, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance, after a failure or because of problems at our providers. We try to schedule planned work so that it gets in the way as little as possible.
- We are responsible for the Service conforming to the contract under the Polish Consumer Rights Act (Chapter 5b). If it does not work as it should, you can ask us to bring it into conformity and, in the cases the Act provides for, to reduce the price or withdraw from the contract.
- We are not responsible for the consequences of wrong or incomplete data entered by users, for the workings of phones, operating systems, stores and payment providers, or for reminders that did not arrive for reasons outside our control (section 7).
- None of this excludes or limits our liability towards a consumer where the law does not allow it - in particular for damage caused intentionally, for personal injury, or for the Service not conforming to the contract.
- Towards businesses that are not treated as consumers, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, up to the amount paid to us in the last 12 months, and not for lost profits.
- We make daily backups, but we suggest saving the health book as a PDF from time to time.
11. Complaints
- You can make a complaint by e-mail to maksymilian.wojcik@gmail.com or by post to Swarożyca 15A/6, 71-601 Szczecin, Poland.
- Tell us who you are and which e-mail address you use in VetDue, what does not work, when you noticed the problem and what you expect. This helps us, but we will handle the complaint without it too.
- We answer within 14 days of receiving the complaint, by e-mail, or on paper if you ask. If we do not answer within that time, a consumer’s complaint is deemed accepted.
- For a refund of a Google Play or App Store payment you can also go to the store directly, under its rules.
12. Resolving disputes out of court
If you are a consumer and do not agree with our answer, you can:
- ask a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) for help;
- ask a voivodeship inspectorate of the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa) for mediation, or go to the permanent consumer arbitration court at the inspectorate;
- for cross-border matters in the EU, get help from the European Consumer Centre.
The Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection explains these options at prawakonsumenta.uokik.gov.pl. The EU’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform closed on 20 July 2025, so we do not refer to it. If we reject your complaint, our answer will say whether we agree to resolve the dispute out of court. Using these options is voluntary and does not limit your right to go to court.
13. Ending the contract and deleting your account
- You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account: in the app (Account → Delete account) or on the website (Account → Delete account). You can also write to us.
- Once you delete your account, you lose access to it immediately. We delete the households in which you are the only member, together with their animals, records and photos. A household you share with others is handed over to the remaining members - its data stays, because it is their data too. The details and timing of deletion are in the Privacy Policy.
- Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription (section 8).
- We may end the contract for good reasons (such as closing the Service, or a change in the law that makes running it impossible) with at least 30 days’ notice, or at least 3 months’ notice for Plus forever. During that time you can save your data (for example as a PDF). If we end the contract through no fault of yours, we refund part of the price for a paid subscription period you have not used.
- We may block or delete an account without notice if you seriously break these terms or the law (for example by attacking the Service or repeatedly adding unlawful content), after first asking you to stop where that is possible. We will tell you and give the reasons by e-mail.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for good reasons: a change in the law, a change in the Service’s features, a change of providers, better security, or a need to make the wording clearer. We will tell you about a change by e-mail or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect (30 days if it concerns Plus). If you do not agree, you can delete your account and cancel your subscription before that day. Changes will not take away Plus you have already paid for.
15. Final provisions
- Polish law governs the contract. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
- Disputes with consumers are decided by the court that has jurisdiction under the general rules. Disputes with businesses that are not consumers are decided by the court for our registered address.
- These terms are available in Polish and English. For consumers in Poland the Polish version is binding.
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law gives consumers.
